For this assignment, we were instructed to write about an event that happened to us in the past year that showed something about ourselves and our character. At first I honestly had no idea about what I wanted to write about. There wasn't a major event in my life that showed one of my more outstanding traits. Not that my life is boring, but I've always lived in a peaceful neighborhood with a great group of friends that knew how to act. I thought about one of my other traits that could be expressed through a story. I wanted to write about something that happened to me on the last day of school a year ago, but it wasn't 365 days ago. I asked my professor if this would be okay. He was a little skeptical at first, but once I told him what is was about, he was very eager to read it. The story is about the time when I accidentally stabbed myself in he finger with another student's epi-pen. The trait I was trying to bring out of the story was my curiosity. I've always been a curious person whose asked a lot of questions. So when I saw this strange looking device for the first time, I became very interested. Clearly my curiosity and the epi-pen didn't mix well, but you'll find that out after you read.

I didn't have my rough draft ready to go for class on the day of peer reviews, so I had my sister review my paper instead. She fixed a few spelling and grammar mistakes and had me reword a couple of sentences. Something she put on my paper was that my title was boring. I though long and hard about a title that would stand out and make someone wanna pick my story out from a pile of everyone else's. So I gave a brief overview of the story in my title without spoiling any of the details. My paper was then ready to turn in.
